Simon WhiteDirector, Supply Chain and Market Quality Operations
Simon has 30 years’ experience in pharmaceuticals. In his current position he provides oversight and strategic direction of quality and regulatory compliance in product distribution. Simon joined R&D in 1987 in the development of veterinary medicines, and was responsible for regional clinical development and compliance with veterinary Good Clinical Practice. He subsequently moved into pharmacovigilance, and then EU regulatory affairs, and for 10 years worked in GMP and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing site supplying global markets. In his current role he closely follows developments in supply chain related regulations and has represented Pfizer at Efpia’s Supply Chain Working Group and in reviews of EU GDP, GMP Annex 16, FMD, and Annex 21 on importation, and represented Pfizer in discussions with Health Authorities on these topics. He has been based in Sandwich UK, Paris, New York, Brussels and Amboise, France and completed a EU GMP inspection readiness assignment in Puerto Rico. Simon is a zoologist (BSc) with an MSc from the Centre for Tropical Veterinary Medicine, University of Edinburgh, Member of the Royal Society of Biology (UK) and QP-eligible. He worked for some years in humanitarian aid programs in Nigeria, Kenya and Egypt before joining the Pharma industry
